慾 Desire

作品介紹《慾》 藝術家胡嘉之書作品｢慾」，於刨製千次的木板上刻畫黑與白對比的千字人形，兩塊木板構成的是一道慾望之門。人在追求一切事物的過程中，面臨著難以意料的結局，是否能在面臨抉擇時，從黑暗裡看到希望，於白晝中感受到未來。是墜落千人塚的作繭自縛﹖亦或是踏上光明之階﹖
Introduction to the work Desire

Artist Hu Chia’s calligraphy work, Desire, features thousands of contrasting black and white figures engraved onto shaven wooden panels. The two pieces of wood form a door to desire. People will often face surprises in their pursuit of their goals. While looking at the panels, can people find a spark of hope within the darkness, or sense a future within the light of day? Is it a bad fate that people brought onto themselves? Or is it a step onto a ray of hope?
